Ever wondered - How does God look at me?

Even for children and youth, life can feel difficult and heavy—tiredness from school work, sadness when friends are unkind, anxiousness about those who are sick and suffering, or loneliness when no one seems to care and understand. There are days when we try our best but still feel like we're not good enough, or we haven't done enough. In those moments, we may wonder, “Does God really see me?”
The Bible gives us a beautiful answer: we are the apple of God’s eye.
Let's have a think about our eyes. Compared to the rest of our bodies, they are very small. Yet, everyone knows how important they are. If something comes near our eyes, what happens? Our eyelids quickly close, and sometimes, our hands automatically cover our eyes. We don’t need to think—our bodies protect our eyes right away. That is how precious and fragile our eyes are.
God says this is how He sees us.
When God calls His people “the apple of His eye”, He is telling us that we are very special and deeply loved. God watches over us closely. He knows when we are happy, and He knows when we are hurting. When we feel alone or afraid, God is not far away. He is right there, caring for us and protecting us.
We may not always understand why hard things happen, but we can trust God. He feels all that we feel. He sees every tear. He hears every prayer, especially the secret ones in our hearts. He promises to guide and keep us safe under His loving care. Whenever we feel unseen or forgotten, remember this truth: rejoice, for we are precious to God; the apple of His eye.
