Everyday, we see pictures, videos, and advertisements that tell us what “perfect” looks like. Maybe it’s someone with a certain hairstyle, the newest clothes, or even the “perfect” body. All this can make us feel like we need to look a certain way to be liked or accepted.
But, guess what? That’s not what God cares about.
God doesn’t judge us by our hairstyles, our clothes, or how popular we are. The Bible says:
"Your adornment must not be merely the external—braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or putting on apparel; but it should be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God." - 1 Peter 3:3-4
To God, real beauty isn’t about how we look on the outside. Real beauty is in our hearts—the way we act, how we treat others, and how close we are to God.
When we try to be like Jesus—kind, loving, patient, and humble—that’s what makes us truly beautiful in God’s eyes. Jesus didn’t care about being rich or looking cool. He helped people, healed the sick, and even gave His life to save ours.
The world’s idea of beauty changes all the time. The beauty God loves—the Fruit of the Spirit—never fades away; an incorruptible beauty that it lasts forever.

How important is being beautiful to you? Why?
Are you trying to be like the people you see on TV or social media, or are you trying to be like Jesus?
What can you do today to show kindness, love, and patience—just like Jesus did?

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.
Thank You, Lord, for seeing us exactly as the people we need to be; imitators of You.
When everything around us makes us feel small, ugly and unlikeable,
Remind us of the beautiful parts of ourselves that must be used for Your good.
