STUDENTS VS ADULTS
As students, we may feel like we barely have enough time for ourselves, and do not understand it when older people say that it is the best period for us to start to serve God actively. However, the latter would be true because life as a student and life as a working adult are vastly different experiences. As a student, you have time, which is a key advantage that working adults often lack. This time may sometimes be used by us to either take a rest after the semester ends, or to develop ourselves by taking more classes or ongoing internships. These things are not bad – developing ourselves and learning is one of the purposes of education.
SERVING FROM A STUDENT
We should also think of how we can grow in our service to God during our study years. It is a time to find out how we can serve in church and find out what things the church needs. If we do not start when we are students, we will find it difficult to begin only after we start working and feel like we lack the time and energy to devote in service to God.
FOR US TO PONDER:
Are there patterns to how I spend my time that I am unaware of?
What are some areas that I can contribute to the church in?
